1-wire Weather station problem

ArchiverArchiver Posts: 46,084

Hello,
I have just received the 1-wire weather station by aag. I have version 3. Where
can I get ver 3 compatible PC software? I only could find ver 2.??
something(which is not compatible) on aag's web page.

P.S. Eventually I want to have this work with the BS2, but for now I want to get
it tested on my PC.

Thanks
Richard

The PC software for the version 3 weather station is available on the AAG site
    at:

    http://www.aag.com.mx/RegContact.html

If you do not get a response within an hour, email aag@a... and tell him
    what you need.

Well I have to sit down and program the stamp. With the PC I can make sure
it is functioning and calibrated. I eventually want to set up auto weather
recording using the stamp for a year.

Also, you can get and record the serial numbers of the 1-wire chips in your
weather station. You'll need them later for Basic Stamp 1-wire commands.

Another useful tool is iButton Viewer, part of Dallas Semiconductor's TMEX
1-wire driver software. iButton viewer allows you to veiw, edit, and exercise
the 1-wire devices. It can be downloaded from DalSemi's web site at
    www.ibutton.com

    Tim,
I have been looking at your code for the BS2p from your web page. I am in
the process of trying to adapt it to use with the basic stamp 2. I also have
the ATOM which has 1-wire interface. I think this might be a better
approach. However I need to get rid of your LCD commands, because I only
have a 2x16 serial LCD. There are other minor differences between the stamp
& the Atom I still have to work out as well.

Feel free to throw a few tips my way.

    Richard

    Richard,

when you say you're adapting it to a BS2, are you using some sort of an
    interface chip or adapter?

    Tim,
I have the DS9097U that came with the weather kit. I am also looking into
using it with my Psion 3mx palmtop computer. I haven't really looked closely
at doing this so it will be sometime before I can confirm that this will
    actually be possible.
Right now AAG still have not replied to several emails regarding PC
software ver 3 for the 1 wire weather station. Tim, do you have any other
suggestions on getting this software? Do you have a copy you can send me. I
have no idea why they are ignoring me. After all they got my money.

    Thanks
    Richard
