Hi,
We have just released version 1.3 of the BASIC Stamp Editor software. You
can download it from our website at:
http://www.parallaxinc.com/html_files/resources/Stamp_Win.htm
If you've been there recently, you may have to "Refresh" your browser.
This version fixes a number of issues reported by BASIC Stamp users.
The following is a list of the top items that have been addressed:
1) Supports "Stamper" 900MHz timing delays. The nature of the Stamper
wireless product requires extended time out delays beyond what is normal
for the port scanning procedure. PLEASE READ THE README.TXT FILE FOR MORE
INFORMATION.
2) Fixed Random lockups during download. This problem would affect some
computers by locking up the Stamp Editor at random times during a download
procedure.
3) Fixed "4.74 is not a valid floating point number" error when trying to
open Help. This affected computers with a regional setting that uses a ,
instead of a . to represent the decimal point.
4) Fixed help window to properly refresh its display in Win2K and WinXP.
5) Fixed Memory Map problem that would prevent it from displaying any
program other than slot 0 (in multi-file projects).
6) Fixed bug when saving modified files in multi-file projects. Any file
that appeared to the right of the currently selected file would not be
saved, even if the editor asked if it should be saved.
Parallax, Inc. thanks all individuals who reported problems with version
1.2 and especially those who provided detailed instructions for duplicating
the problems.
Thank you!

display now works right! Setting "small fonts" corrects the problem
with visibility in the windows. And it all works fine with the
Stache, firmware version 1.6.
...with a PC. However (ohhh), it still has problems on my Mac
G4/system9.1/virtualPC4.0/keyspanPDA. It (STAMPW1.5 and 1.6)
recognizes and programs the BS2 just fine, but does not identify or
program any other flavor of Stamp. I have tried limiting the port
selection and using the new $PORT directive, but still no joy.
Version 1.1 STAMPW programs all the Stamps just fine under this
setup. I think you told me your setup with an IMAC there at Parallax
works okay with a similar setup and STAMPW 1.5. Is that right, and
have you tried it with the multibank Stamps? I also wonder if you
have feedback on this from other Mac users?
Not to pick nits, but you know how devoted us Mac users can be!
