INEX-1000 and BOE rev A.

Hi I'm just a beginner with the BS. I own a Board Of Education and an
INEX-1000 training board. I like programming in VB to send /receive data
with my BS. Using my Board Of Education is easy when sending and
receiving data because it has that capacitor switch on it, making my life
easy. However when I use my INEX-1000 it has a down lode connector and an
rs 232 connector that I believe is not connected directly to the stamp. I
bought the board because it has many of the completed circuits that I need
for my experiments with sending and receiving.
My problem is sending and receiving with the INEX-1000. I want to
turn on and off the leds on the led monitor, on the INEX via. the PC with
VB. However, the INEX-1000 will not allow me to do this. The Board of
education rev A will alow this, I'm not so sure about rev B though. What
am I suppose to do to get the INEX to behave the same way as the board of
education rev A
when sending data and receiving data to and from a PC with VB as I would
with the BE rev A ? I looked at the stampsinclass web but could not find a
sematic on Rev A board of education because I am wondering if modifying
the INEX-1000 to fit similar to the board of education rev A.
Thank San ,')
