Hello from France,
Recently i have changed my old PC286/DOS to a second hand 486 laptop under
windows 3.1.
So now it's impossible to dowload anything to my BS2.
The DOS BS2 editor doesn't detect the BS in any mode.
I have checked the laptop's com port as OK.
The connecting cable is the same as before. I don't understand.
Anything more to check ?

Si ton laptop tourne sous Win 3.1, tu as aussi une version du DOS derriere
Windows, puisque Windows ne fait qu'interpreter les instructions DOS.
Si tu cherches bien, tu vas le trouver, et la, plus de probleme.
Meme avec Millenium, on a acces au DOS (j'utilise pour ma part un Celeron
500 sous Win Millenium, et je programme mes stamps sous DOS sans souci).

Probably the first thing you might do is confirm that the comm port is
working correctly. If you have an old modem or some other serial device
to plug into it, you could at least verify (in DOS) the port is alive
and well.
