Waterproof Range Finder?

Hi stampers!
I found a lot of info about various "range"detectors and i wanted to build one
for my robot too. The environment i
am using it gets sometimes wet from springlers and the rain. Is there anyway i
can find a range finder like
Devantech SRF04 Ranger that is waterproof? Any other suggestions will be
appreciated.. The range i want is between
3 cm and 1 meter , i dont mind if it more than a meter though.
Thanx a lot.
Takis

    Hi Takis,

Rapid Electronics in England has just started selling sealed 40kHz
ultrasonic transducer pairs 18mm diameter, 12mm long. No spec available
but the catalogue says "These rugged and moisture-proof transducers
feature high sensitivity and sound pressure level, with excellent
temperature and humidity durability". I've bought a pair to try out but
    I haven't used them yet.

    Hope this helps.

    John
