1-Wire Weather Station

I am just starting to develop a program to read the 1-Wire Weather
Station using a BS2P. I have looked thru the archives but did not find
much discussion on this topic. Has anyone been succesful at
reading the weather station devices?

At this point, I can address and read several DS1820 1-wire temp
sensors mounted on the BS2P demo board. However, as soon as I connect
the weather station, I can no longer get valid communications. The
weather station works fine using the DS9097U serial to 1-wire
interface and DalSemi's ibViewer software. I'm using CAT5 cable and
the weather station is only about 10 feet away.

I've looked at the signal with an oscilloscope and other than a slight
loading, the signal appears OK. I've played with various pull-up
resistors down to 1K with no luck.

I'm also interested in what others are doing with 1-wire devices. i.e.
has anyone used a DS9097U serial to 1-wire adapter with a BS2? Is
anyone else working with the 1-wire weather station?

Thanks!

    Tim,

You are on the weather@d... list also right? because thats
ALL they talk about is weather station stuff and almost anyone
there speaks "stamp" fairly well also.

Is this the passive circuit one with the latch? It supplies direct connection to
    the I
Button on 2 of the DB9 pins so can be used with micros or the seril port. I
    don't think
    the BS2 will work direct.

No, the DS9097U is an active serial to 1-wire converter. It is parasitically
powered from the PC serial port. Communications is via SERIN and SEROUT.
