New To The Basic Stamp

How do i hook up the basic stamp on just any protoboard do i just
need to supply power to the vin pin and a common gnd to the vss pin
or is there more to it

    Yes look at your stamp pinout . If your going to use a 9 volt battery use
    the PWR pin

    That will do it if your voltage is within range, but it must be a very
    stable voltage.
