transceivers on bs2 for temperature measurements

we are trying to set up a system that uses the 418 mhz
transceiver from parallax that will measure
temperature conditions remotely. right now we have
gotten to the point where we have a robot that is
fully controllable from an internet based remote, but
we do not know how to use the pins on the transceiver
to transmit data (light, temperature, and metal
content of soil) back to our pc. any help would be
greatly appreciated.
