Editor V1.2 Locking up during download

Hi All,
Anyone else experiencing Editor V1.2 locking up while
downloading programs to a BS2SX? It can happen at random times with
different size programs. In order to continue, you have to end task
and start again. It will usually reload on the second try.

I think it has something to do with the Palm Pilot I have on COM1, even
though the BS is on COM2. The problem got so bad that I have started using
the old editor again.

one in every 10 to 15 downlodas locks up.
I made a post here a while back regarding this problem. In a reply
from parallax I was told they were trying to duplicate the problem.
Haven't heard from them since.
In the meantime I'm back to v1.1 as the frequent lockups are just too
frustrating.

I'm using Windows 98. I also have a Palm Pilot Hot Sync on Com2,
but it is disabled, Wonder if that's any help to Parallax?

Stamps. I am using a standard BS2 on com1, no other com ports are
being used and have had frequent lock ups. I am using windows 98. I
have faith that parallax will remedy this and release v1.3 but for
now am going to stick with v1.1 until the next release.

I wouldn't know about it locking up since I have not been able to get it to
install on any of my computers. I have tried downloading it at least 6 times
from the Parallax site and every time I try to install it, it tells me that
it can't find a file that is needed. I even E-mailed Parallax for help but
all they sent me was some type of link file that was useless.
If you or anyone else has any idea how to get it to install please let me
know and then maybe I too can experience the lock up problem.

Sorry for the mistake!
I mean "Internet Explorer" NOT "Ethernet Explorer" !!!
You need it because Editor V1.2 uses the Help API from MSIE.

Does the error occur during installation or after installation?
If it is the latter I can email you the installed map zipped.
Changes are you can run it even if it is not registered into the register.

The error occurs near the beginning of the installation. I am going to
attempt to download the editor one more time and see if it will work this
time. I don't remember the name of the file on which the install stops,
sorry.
