Basic Stamp in Near Space

If you get a chance, read the latest Weatherwise magazine
(Nov/Dec). There's an article about a high altitude balloon launch I
was a part of in Kansas, back in June. You'll recognize me, I'm the
handsome fellow.
;=)
Anyway, I use the Basic Stamp to operate the electronics in the
capsule. These functions include preparing telemetry, reading data
from a GPS, operating cameras, and collecting data from sensors
like gieger counters, temperature sensors, RH sensors, and
pressure transducers.
