Dinsmore compass info?

Hi members,
I have a project in mind whereby I will need to interface to a compass.
I have access to a Dinsmore device soon - if anyone has used these before
could they perhaps offer any advice (both good and bad points) or a snippet
of code to start me off for when it arrives?
