hello,

i want do design a programable sequence generator (different frequencies-up
to 10mhz- and different sequences).

can a BASIC stamps help realise this task? if yes, how?

my idea was to download the sequence parameters(frequency value and the
sequence to be repeated) from a PC to a microcontroller (RAM), the the
microcontroller would write these values to the sequence generator(an
external circuit made of a frequency divider and a shift register)

what do u think about that?

thank u very much

You're probably not going to get those kinds of speeds out of the BASIC
Stamp. If you wish to make an attempt (perhaps for prototyping), let me
suggest the BS2p. It is the fastest in the Stamp family and it has a 127
byte RAM area that would be best for storing and playing back your sequences
    (if that's enough).
