POT trouble...

Anyone else have trouble with the POT function on the BS1? I can't get scale to
read my potentimeter even though I have it hooked up right. I'm doing a simple
PIN0 - potentimeter (0-100k) - .1cap - ground circuit just to test the POT
function. I push ALT-P and then when scale comes up, I try to move the pot to
adjust it, but it just jumps around from 0 to 255 even when the pot is still. It
never has a steady reading. What's wrong???

Make sure you don't have anything conductive touching the circuit otherwise you
will get the results. I made the mistake of having some of the ESD foam my BS1
was shipped in under the super carrier board, and that threw my readings all
    over the place.

    Hope that helps,
    Chris

How do I auto wrap my messages. I hate when they go out of the page like this.

    I'm using Netscape communicator.

Well! I figured out what was wrong. First of all, I WAS using that foam stuff
that the BS1 came in, but taking it away didn't completely fix the problem. I
was using the Vss on the LEFT side of the DIP connections (where the BS2 is
supposed to go, I use that for temp wire connections like this), when I started
using the RIGHT side, it worked just fine! Go figure!
