Has anyone gotten the stamp editor to work using wine on linux? I got the
executable to run under linux, but the editor incorrectly identifies my
stamp as a Basic Stamp2 v0.0 and then refuses to program it.
Using Windows95 the stamp editor identifies my stamp as a Basic Stamp2 v1.0
and programs it just fine.

your version of Linux and the version of wine you are trying to install. I
had a problem with the registry, but thought that I fixed it by accessing a
Windows95 partition on the Linux system (dual boot system). I may still be
having a problem with the registry and maybe that is why the Stamp Editor
reports a v0.0 instead of v1.0.
I would like to do the database side of this project on Linux, but I don't
want to reboot every time I change the program on my robot.
I like Linux, but it can take a LOT of time to get everything working right.
FYI - I am using:
RedHat 7.1 <- with all the updates from the RedHat website
Wine - I don't have the version number with me, but whatever version comes
on the 7.1 Power Tools cd.

That seems to be better than what I have. The program is working, but tells
me to check the serial cable or the power (just like the message you get on
win).
Is this maybe caused by the NextStep board I am using ? What carrier board
are you using ?

VMWare... that would probably get it working...
Just a thought...
