I looked at major electronic supplier and:

Jameco doesn't carry it
Mouser doesn't
Digiky have a minimum order of 30 and a backorder period of at least 6
weeks.
Maxim IC does not sell directly

    How bad do you need one? I got two MAX7221CNG that I'm doing nothing with. I
    also have two MAX7219CNG in the same situation.

    Contact me off list if you're interested. I'd only want shipping covered.
