    OK,let me try this again.
    right from the Jameco catalog,
.100 male headers .025 square single row (break away)
jameco p#160881 that's a 40 pin header they also have smaller ones but the
    price is .39 each header
then you just break up these headers into singles and join them with a small
    stranded wire .
    and you have your jumper.

Does anyone know a place to buy jumper wires to connect those pins
that come off a BS2 carrier board?

Basically it's a six inch wire with two plastic squares on each end
housing a little metal circle that goes around the pin. It seems like
something I should be able to find anywhere, but I've looked at the
    electronics store, Jameco, etc.

    Thanks,

    Mark

Victor are you looking for jumper wires, or the female sockets that the
wires plug in to? For the female sockets I used a standard IC socket, and
cut it in half, I got 2 rows of female sockets I could then use.
If you want jumper wires you could get one of those radio shack breadboard
kits with multiple length wires in the kit.
.100 on center is a standard spacing for components. If you look at a
breadboard or a wire wrap board or a drilled PC board as sold by radio shack
the holes are on .1 centers. 10 holes per inch it means.
