Has anyone successfully transmitted or received midi data out of a Basic
Stamp? I want to build a 'cord box' that can sent out midi signals for
common chords with the press of a button. I have been trying to find
information on the midi protocol, and about any chips designed to
interface to the midi standard. I have not found much. Do any of you
have any suggestions? Thanks.

I have made a console that transmits midi sign that I believe it
can serve you as example. If you are interested send me a private e-mail
for not recharging the list
