BS1 Starter Kit, what is that connector?

Does anyone know the part number/description for the connector that comes
with the BS1 starter kit?

There are about 20 pins on it, and I've cut them apart 3 at a time for
connecting the programming cable to my projects. I've used it all up, and
I've stolen all of the audio connectors off old sound cards that I have.

I tried to find an equivalent on Digi-Key, but they must have 10,000
different connectors.

Thanks,

John

Erik,

Thanks for the reply, but the link was for a 12 volt power supply, and you
mentioned a parallel cable. Neither of which is what I am talking about.
I'm asking about those little pins that came with the starter kit. They
came on a 'stick' that I cut apart, 3 at a time, to solder to my project for
connecting the programming cable. As a temporary fix, I have been
scavenging audio connector pins from old CD-Rom and Sound cards... But I'm
running out fast :)

Thanks again,

John

Correction, the link was to a bunch of accessories, not just a 12 volt power
supply.

Sounds like you need the little female connector that slips over the pins
sticking out of the board, correct?

Typically you can get individual connectors on a metal strip or you can get
a segmented connector you can cut apart with the number of connections you
want. I'll have to find my Mouser catalog and see what they have.

I personally use the Molex KK connectors, and I believe the female
connectors they use will fit the pins on the Stamp boards also. You would
need to slip a piece of heat-shrink tubing over them to keep them from
touching one another though.

Gents, as I undestand it, our friend needs the pins (male) to solder on
each new project, not a female connector. Each new project takes 3 pins
from his stock, that's why he's running short fast

I know that Molex has this type of pins and I used them in the (remote)
past. But I do not have any reference now. Anybody having Molex catalogue
could help.

Thank you Jose!

I should have mentioned the male/female part, Sorry.

I AM looking for the Male pins. I know this one is simple, but I'm having
trouble finding the right ones!

Thanks,

John

Rodent,

Close, but I need the other sex so to speak. See Jose's post nearby.

Thanks,

John

Do you mean the .1 on center single and dual rows? I have boxes of them if
that's what you need, like what plugs into the BOE black female connectors?

I'd send you some taped to a letter for free if you want. Just need
address.
