Commands for DS1305 & DS1302

Does anyone know if DS1305 and the DS1302 use the same commands.
I was wondering if I use a program designed for a 1302, would
it communicate with 1305???

I'm currently experimenting the 1302. As I look at the datasheets, the 1305
seems to be more complex, but offers nearly the same functions.
I see only 3 differences : more RAM, 2 alarms, and SPI interface.
You should select 3-wire mode communication to get it work the same way as
the 1302. Check the register addresses as well.
You can find an example of using the 1302 on Parallax's site (->
resources -> StampWorks Experiments -> Experiment #30)
