New Stamp Editor - Response to problems

This message is in response to the problems noted by some of you regarding
the new BASIC Stamp Editor v1.2.
1) "4.74" error when opening Help.
We will be fixing this problem and will release a new download to solve
it. This problem doesn't occur on many machines and seems to be related to
regional settings as noted by Peter Verkaik and others.
2) Problems when installed to a non-default directory (ie: not installed to
Program Files\Stamp Editor). There is an error in the installation program
which doesn't properly associate shortcut's with the directory that is
chosen by the user on the Customize screen. We believe we've found the
solution to this and will fix it in the next new download.
3) Random Lock-ups. So far, we have not been able to duplicate this
problem, however, we will keep trying to find a computer that exhibits this
problem. For now, please try the following: Go to Preferences, select the
Editor Operation Tab and from the Default COM Port field, try changing the
current setting (should be "AUTO") to the COM port you are currently using
for your Stamp. This may keep the editor for "randomly crashing" as it
will force the editor to ignore all other com ports (I believe this is
related to the problem). Please let me know if this does, indeed, correct
the problem for those people experiencing it.
