Servo''s (Slightly off topic)

I understand, or at least think I do, how a Servo operates. If I
provide a control signal with a positive pulse of 1.5uS the Servo will
center its self. If I provide a 1uS pulse it will drive to
approximately -90 degrees and if I apply a 2uS pulse it will go to
+90.

Now, what if I apply a 1uSec pulse train for some period of time
(greater than the time required to get into the proper position) and
then remove the pulses? Will the Servo hold its last position, this
is what I would expect, or will it drive to some other position since
it is no longer receiving the control signal? Assuming that I keep
power applied to the device. ;) What will a Servo do when power is
first applied and the control signal is DC to ground?

Thanks,
Phil
