New BASIC Stamp Windows Editor
Version 1.2 Available for download!
==========================

Dear Stampers,

Parallax is very excited to announce the release of our new BASIC Stamp
Windows editor! Download it here:

http://www.parallaxinc.com/html_files/resources/Stamp_Win.htm

Some of the new features:

o Integrated on-line Help file - Entire PBASIC syntax for all BS2-style
BASIC Stamps available for quick reference. Context sensitive help is added,
too. Note: requires Microsoft's HTML Help utility and IE 4.0 or above (IE 5
recommended).

o Generate object code - Use the feature to tokenize a stand-alone
executable PBASIC program so others can load your code in a BASIC Stamp
without seeing the program. Note: known as BSAVE on the BASIC Stamp 1.

o Command-line option - Support of text input using standard pipe
mechanisms means you can use your own editor (see this Nuts and Volts
article using Edit Plus) or launch a download from an external program.

o Tip-of-the-day - Automatically runs or available anytime from the help
menu. Create your own tips or use ours.

o New user interface - Many new conveniences you've requested including:
Open From. . . Save To; automatic BASIC Stamp directive adding; new download
function identifies the BASIC Stamp version and serial port connections to
your PC; automatic file association support; port directive to select one
Stamp on a single port; useful editor messages provide real error
information.

Send any comments, feedback regarding this editor to
engineering@p....

Sincerely,

Ken Gracey - Parallax, Inc.

    Ken:

Please copy the section call "Installation Notes for some machines" from the
new editor page to the LCD CC page. Thanks, Buddy!
