Hello-

I've been programming on my PC, but its time to take my stamp2 out on the
road and I'd like to use a Macintosh Powerbook to tweak the code. Can anyone
recommend a Mac USB to PC adapter which will work with Virtual PC?

I was thinking about using the Keyspan Adapter, but it costs $79 and I'll
need to find a mac (DB8) to pc serial cable.

The Belkin USB->Serial has both the Mac serial connection and the PC DB9
connection. Has anyone been successful in using this?

Thanks!

-Lou

I use the Keyspan PDA adapter, which costs $39 from them:
    http://www.keyspan.com/products/usb/PDAadapter/
The output of the PDA adapter is a DB9P. You would need a straight
    through DB9S-DB9P serial cable, not a DIN8.

The Stamp software makes kind of unusual use of the serial port. It
really amazes me that it works at all (and it does work very well),
because there are so many level of emulation going on, including
Virtual PC and the very nice Keyspan serial port driver. I would not
hazard a guess about the functionality of the Belkin device & driver.

I use the Keyspan high-speed single port adapter, no problems.
Just get the one with the PC-style serial port on the non-usb
side. (and yeah, it works great under OSX, but VPC doesn't, yet).
