IR motion detector circuit

Hey stampers,
I want to detect motion from about 10 ft. away. I want to run the
ciruit off of the bs2. I am familiar with IR and my problem is that
I cannot get enough distance between my detector and transmitter.
anyone know of any good IR circuits out there that can be used 10 ft
away and also be run off of the stamp? Thanks.
Jon

PIR sensors and even a schematic that works.

Do you want to detect moving persons or objects?
To detect moving persons you can use a PIR (passive infrared detector) as
used
by burglar alarm systems. They operate continuesly as soon as power is
supplied.
They provide you with two switches, ALARM and TAMPER and mostly the
sensitivity
can be adjusted. Also available are different lenses for widebeam (short
range)
and narrowbeam (long range) detection.
To detect moving objects there are radar sensors, sometimes combined with a
PIR.
Hope this helps.
regards peter
