Urgent please help

Hi Stampers,
I got a big problem with the stamp, and my trouble is that i am doing a job
and i am running out of time so please save my life... :-)
I am using a bs2 and I am using 10 input pins as sensor pads. I pull them
high with a 2M resistor and connect them to a metal plate each. whenever you
touch one of the pads the pin starts flickering between 0 and 1. I use COUNT
to notice that the pad is touched. When it is not touched, COUNT delivers 0,
when it is touched it delivers about 60 if I count for 200 ms.
So far so good.
when I connect all ten pads, pads 0 to 7 work fine, pads 8 and 9 donot react
at all. when I disconnect 8 and 9 all the others go completely crazy, though
I donot take away the pull-ups of 8 and 9.
That is, when they all are connected, eight of them work fine.
That makes me think that something gets twisted on the internal PIC, that I
cannot use both ports like this.
What can I do to make it work, could I use the PAK pulsin chip? will I have
the same problem there?
