$49 MicroWebServ Easily
Connects your BASIC Stamp
to the Internet!
=========================

Announcing MicroWebServ (MWS), a professionally-designed PC software utility
from CS Microsystems that easily connects your BASIC Stamp to the internet.
MWS has the following functions:

o Send data from a BASIC Stamp to a web page
o Send e-mail from a BASIC Stamp
o Send data (strings, decimal, etc.) to your BASIC Stamp from any web
browser for remote control of your embedded system
o Re-program your BASIC Stamp over the internet

Applications include factory monitoring and control, home automation, remote
robot control and simple data transmission to a web site or by e-mail to
indicate status.

To use, the MWS software progam is first installed on your PC. The BASIC
Stamp is connected to your PC serial port and sends data to/from MWS using
SERIN/SEROUT commands. Upon receipt of these commands, MWS sends the e-mail,
parses the web page and replaces variable names with data and handles FTP
uploads of new pages based on the Stamp's request. This leaves the BASIC
Stamp free for other control functions.

MWS is available for free download without registration and allows ten BASIC
Stamp connections, but the software must be re-launched after this limit is
reached every ten times. Otherwise it is fully functional. This minor
nuisance is a small price to pay considering you can learn the software
before you decide to purchase.

Parallax demos are not protected against multiple users. In an actual
implementation, pages could be password protected or MWS software could use
the Stamp's request ID to limit access to a single user.

Have a fantastic weekend, Stampers!

Sincerely,

Ken Gracey of Parallax, Inc.
