Perhaps the Parallax folks can clarify that, but I think you are incorrect.
A long time ago, Parallax did host the list. Then they moved it to one of
the list providers like eGroups. However, they had paid a fee so we did not
get advertising and we stayed off their spam lists. Then eGroups got sold to
Yahoo. I don't know, but I'd imagine, that Parallax is still paying to
support this list ad free.
For example, over on the OTList (old timers, a list that was started by
people from this list) every message has a little ad at the bottom.
So Parallax does in fact support and operate this list to the best of my
knowledge. The support from Parallax and the active Stamp user community is
one of the best things about the Stamp.
