hi, i'm having trouble with a basic stamp super carrier board. i
connected pins in the prototype area by where it says p0, p1, etc.,
to connect servos. i've downloaded a program into the stamp, but
nothing happens when i connect the power. do i need to connect power
to the servos separately? or is there something i have to do with
the program to make it work? right now it's just some pulsouts.
i would appreciate any help on this

In my (limited) experience, I have found it best to build a servo connector
board from stripboard which is powered from a 6v battery pack. The ground is
then tied to the super carrier board ground (vss). Your servo signal inputs
should then be connected to the stamp output pins.
Here's an attempt at a diagram (best viewed with a fixed point font)...
S1 S2 S3... Sn
Signal O==X=O==X=O...=X=O
+v ====O====O====O...===O
gnd ====O====O====O...===O====>> to super carrier gnd (vss)
If you're making this on stripboard, cut the tracks between the signal pins,
notifed by the X in the diagram. Make sure you get a clean cut too or else
you'll have all sorts of fun !

Justin.
