ADC Question

I am using the ADC0834 and an LM34 to take a temp reading with my
stamp. I have set up the program as stated in the problem using .5V
as my reference voltage and .7V as the offset. I have these values
dialed in accurately, but the output that is shifted into the stamp
does not conicide with the direct voltage reading from the LM34. The
two readings (LM34 directly and converted and calculated temp) start
out both at 70F correctly, but by the time the LM34 is at 1V (100F),
the converted temp is only at 85 or so.
Can anyone offer some insight?
