HELP! with datalogging

Hello Stampers,


Is there any way to divert or tee the output of Debug into a file
under Win9x or DOS????

I am working with the adaption of a variety of BASIC Stamps to the
original 555 based Lead Acid Battery Desulfator.

As we are currently prototyping numerous methods of recovering
dead/dying batteries with different pulse circuitry's, we need to be
able to data log for comparative analysis.

If you use Hyperterminal you can capture the screen display to a file of your
own choice or to a printer.

I've used hyperterminal to monitor my UPS. Would you just invoke
hyperterminal to monitor debug as well????

What would be the protocol??

The DEBUG output is really just 9600 baud 8 bit serial data. With the BS1
you can either hook up a resistor (as shown under SERIN/SEROUT in the
manual) or use a converter (like our RS-I board -
http://www.al-williams.com/awce/rs1.htm) to connect to the PC and then you
can use SEROUT to talk to Hyperterminal (this works with a BS2 or anything
else, for that matter).
