IR remote control decode

Need a Stamp program to decode various makes of IR remote controlers.
Display the protocol codes when a certain key is pressed (length of
start bit, length of 1's or 0's number of bits etc.)
Similar to the "Stamp - Weekend application kit" article by
the "Parallax Corp." on IR Emitting diodes. Except that article was
specific to the Sony Protocol, I would like a more universal one
though.
Love Stamps, John

I'll second that. IMHO that article alone is worth the price of a
subscription for anyone who wants to or who might ever want to play
with IR controls. Good stuff, Jon!

You can find that document here:
http://www.parallaxinc.com/html_files/resources/wknd_specials.htm
Also check-out my "Stamp Applications" column in Nuts & Volts magazine. The
August (2001) issue details Sony IR decoding with the BS2sx and BS2p.

books. They've got all the Basic Stamp back articles from Nuts & Volts. I'm
most of the way through the first book and have learned quite a bit.
