Pak 5 vs Pak 8

I am controlling several servos on a RC airplane.
I am looking at using either the PAK-V or PAK-VIII from
www.al-williams.com/awce to control the servos.
Is there any advantage to using the PAK-VIII? It seems that the PAK-V is
simpler to use.
Thanks for any advice in selecting one of these over the other.

dimming lights and controlling motor speeds, among other things. However, it
won't let you control a servo -- the cycle time is too fast.
The PAK-VIII, on the other hand, lets you set the on and off times easily to
whatever you want. That means you can do what a PAK-V does, but you can also
handle things like servos.
If you'd like an example have a look at

The PAK-V generates PWM like the Stamp generates PWM. That is
suitable for
dimming lights and controlling motor speeds, among other things.
However, it
won't let you control a servo -- the cycle time is too fast.
The PAK-VIII, on the other hand, lets you set the on and off times
easily to
whatever you want. That means you can do what a PAK-V does, but you
can also
handle things like servos.
