Adding ram memory

I would like to add ram memory to a stamp project. I want an on-board
solution, not Solutions 3 rampack. Has anyone designed a RAM
interface?

Thanks,
George

    Hi,

If 56 bytes of ram is enough you could
consider the Timekeeper module at http://www.high-techgarage.com
This module is placed under your stamp BS2 dip 24.
Provides also RTC and extra Eeprom.

    Greetings peter

I'm in the process of designing a RAM interface for 8kb and 32kb
SRAM. When I started with the concept, I did not know about the
Solutions^3 device. My original device would be in direct
competition with theirs, and so I decided to transform my design
into a kit. The kit version will be much more versatile, possibly
even allowing several SRAM modules on one device! I currently only
have 8KB and 32KB modules to test with. It will also be separate
chips not on a PCB, so you can integrate it into any circuit! Price
and features are not written in stone yet, though I plan to have
serin/serout AND shiftin/shiftout communications using only 2 pins.
I won't go into more detail now, but I believe my interface design
may be what you need. I should be done with the design by sunday.
The code and circuit design is mostly finished, but I have to test
it with the actual chip and add any extra features (like automatic
baud rate discovery and scalability). No more details now, maybe
later. If you're interested, send me an e-mail and I'll get back to
    you about what's going on!

THanks for the suggestion, Peter. I failed to mention that I need at
least 8K, preferably 32K of RAM. I have a DS1302 in the system
    already.

How about one of those serial RAMS? Would they work for you? No design
needed one output line and write to them like a serial port. SOunds to
    easy???
