Automationdirect.com has the least expensive ones I've ever seen. I've
never used them, though, as our customers generally specify Allen-Bradley
or Turck ($60-$100 each for the ones we buy).

That's a pretty vague question...
Inductive, Capacitive, Ultrasonic, IR ?
Short distance, Long Distance ?
