BS2SX BOE failure - Vdd problem?

I had plugged my BS2SX into a new BOE-2000 board. It worked for a
while and then failed the COM check. I have just checked Vdd out of
the regulator and get 5.0 volts. Vdd on the SX2 socket is 7.8 to 10
volts (ouch). (Vin is about 16). I haven't located a schematic for
the BOE-2000 baord and it differs from the original BOE. There are
two 100o uf caps on this BOE, one for the experiment Vdd amd te other
feeds the SX2 carrier chip. The Vdd to the experiment area is 5.0
volts. I can't see the traces where the "other Vdd" is getting
powered. Anybody have the BOE 2000 schematic? I can't find it on the
CD. What the heck is going on? Advice encouraged!
