Hi all. I actually play with PIC Micro's but belong to this list cause thaey
are so simalar in commands etc.
I am interested in finding out how people achieve a multidrop rs485 network?
I have several pics I want to connect to a network but I do not want to have
the pic sitting there waiting for a SERIN command most of the time? Is there
a way of grabbing a pic/stamps attention? I have heard of and have been
playing with the idea of using another wire and sending a PULSOUT command of
a certain length for each pic and in the programs loop have each indervidual
pic do a PULSIN command to check to see if the hub is trying to contact it?
Regards, Peter

The best way would be to buy Jan Axelsons "Serial Port Complete". It has all
the info, with sample stamp code, circuits etc.
