Searching for a part

Hi.
I'v searched through the Newark, Digikey, and Mouser catalogs and haven't
been able to find this part. I'm looking for a 1SV153 Varactor Diode to
repair a damaged Kenwood TS-440. Any help finding this part (or an
acceptable replacement) would be MUCH appreciated.
Thanks,
Ian

It's listed as Radio Shack part number 10634640. Your
local RS should be able to order it for you, or you can do
it over the phone at 1-800-843-7422.

left over from my radio days. They came from one of those distributors that
sold echo mikes and "export" CBs.
Might check Allied or Arrow.

Go to http://www.findchips.com and plug in the part number. Best
thing since flush toilets, trust me.

As a part of my part searching "style", I also just go plug the part into
google :) ...
It's part of a radio shack device and has catalog #10634640. I don't know if
you can buy it from radio stuff, but it's worth a shot.
I get the impression that both Toshiba and Panasonic make it. If they do,
call and find their distributors.
I'd also try insight electronics (http://www.insight-electronics.com),
future active catalog (http://www.future-active.com/), and Arrow (though I
am boycotting them since they require you to have cookies on even to browse
their inventory and I refuse to give in ... why do they need to track me if
I am not actually buying anything online ?) (http://www.arrow.com/)
OK, good luck!
