Simultaneous Operations

I am correct in that the BS2 cannot perform
simultaneous operations? I'm putting together a
hexbot and was wanting direction on
circuits/components that would allow the control of 12
servos, in a walking motion. But, I would like the
controls to be, i.e. move a joystick forward, hexbot
starts to move forward and continues to move in that
direction until the joystick is repositioned, but
without any hesitation, due to the BS2 having to read
the pulsin from the joystick. My understanding is
that when the BS2 reads the pulsin, the signal to
control the servos is stopped momentarily, then
resumed after "reading". Is there away to
command/control the servos in a "loop", and continue
that loop while the BS2 is reading/doing other
"things"? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks Brian

A PAK-VIII coprocessor will let you run 8 servos at once with
no intervention from the Stamp (except to change the position of course).
