Ming Transmitter - No Basic Stamp???

Hello all!
My question is for anyone with experience with the ming
transmitters/receivers. Is it possible to cause the transmitter to
transmit without use of a basic stamp? I would like to interface a
transmitter with a motion detector (Which gives an active high with
motion detected.) I hope to have several of these detectors notify a
basic stamp indoors when motion is detected. But for the sake of $$$
I really dont want to tie a stamp to each detector module.
Any Ideas?
Thanks all!

would be better if you had a pic chip or bs1, something in each sensor, this
way you could send a code, and the code would tell what sensor is going off
. maybe a 555 set up in each sensor to oscillate at a different freq. so by
using pulsin you could read the pulse width of each sensor and know what one
is going off just a thought.

power applied. Check this page out. I gives a schematic for the
transmitter, using a Holtek HT-12E encoder and you use the Holtek decoder.
HT-12F or something. Here is the page. The encoder transmits a 12 bit
signal, 8 of which are ID bits. The other four are the "word". I use my
basic stamp to accept the 4 bit word that is decoded, and you can use one of
the basic stamp outputs to control whatever you want to. It a very simple
design and you only need one stamp. The Encoders and decoders only cost
about 1.79 each.
