Dear Stamper,
Parallax is now distributing and supporting two new DIN-rail mounted
industrial I/O boards. For documentation downloads and on-line ordering see:

The boards are available in a 16-relay version for all BS2 styles ($299) and
a 32-relay version for the new BS2p40 ($399). Relays and power are all
24-volt. The boards were designed for use in industrial machinery as a main
controller, or as a controller to add features to a machine. Standard
24-volt DC power is used for both for input sensor and output load devices.
The boards may be used to control industrial processes, or equipment
functions, without having to learn ladder logic.
Specific features:
o 8 Opto-Isolated Inputs (16 on the 32 I/O baord)
o Inputs are Configurable for either NPN or PNP Devices
o 8 High Current Sinking Drivers (16 on the 32 I/O board)
o Fly-Back Diodes for Protection from Inductive Spikes on Outputs
o Logic State Indicators for Inputs and Outputs
o 1 LCD Port for use with a Scott Edwards Serial Backpack LCD
o DIN Rail Mounting for Ease of Installation
o On Board Switching Regulator for 5 volt Logic Level Power
o Screw Terminal Connections for Ease of Installation
o On Board Programming Com Port, DB9 Connector
