Parallel printer

I have interfaced a parallel printer to the BS2 but I would like other
suggestions on how to accomplish this! Anyone??? Thanks.
P.S. I need to be able to print HEX and DECIMAL data as well as text.

Why waste pins and code space? Find an Epson LX300 or LX300+. Both have
serial and parallel ports.

Thanks for the help. I did it with a 595 shift register but I assume there is
