And again: Unsubscribe

I've been trying to get off this list for two months, and no one
seems to have answers on how to do that. The filters(which probably
don't work right anyway) are not an option because if I filter out
basic stamps, I wouldn't get a response to certain e-mails from
elsewhere as a result.

From now on I will not subscribe to any more Yahoo! groups since
their features obviously are under-par. But in the meantime, I still
need to keep this list from filling up my mailbox until I can switch
over everything elsewhere and delete the mailbox entirely.

Any help with how to get off this list would be greatly appreciated.
("basicstamps-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com" does NOT work, regardless
of how I send it).

Thanks

Why don't you just go to the egroups web site, click on the group,
click on "Edit My Membership" and click on "Leave Group"? This is
the way I've always done it and it works fine. You can also stay in
the group and just eliminate the emails - I belong to 10 groups but I
don't get any email - I just read them when I want to.

i use a an outlook express 'rule' to send everything with the words
'basicstamps@yahoogroups.com' in the 'to' list to a folder called
    BasicStamp.

so the only problem is if someone sends you an email and ALSO sends it to
the list you would miss it. but not cc.

it would work the same to send it to the trash can.

I had opted to receive e-mails at one time and then went to "MY
PREFERENCES" on the list page and removed the 'recevie e-mail'
option. it took 48hours before it stopped filling my in box.

    http://groups.yahoo.com/group/basicstamps/messagesearch
is the link to the page. note, this link sorts the messages by the
most recent on the top of the page.

Make sure you don't have a second account. When e-groups changed to
yahoo I had to re-sign up for everything. If you did too, yahoo my
be using your old account to actively harass you.

Beats me. Have you sent a message to the list administrator?
    basicstamps-owner@yahoogroups.com

The only other thing that may work is to sign up for Yachoo! Groups,
    subscribe, then unsubscribe.
