PalmOS-based Stamp Editor?

I've recently become a Palm devotee, and when I have time will be exploring its
IO capabilities (IR, Serial). It ocurrs to me that the Palm is an ideal
platform for making in-the-field updates, monitoring & logging of stamp
operations, et cetera.
I did a quick scan of my archives of this group, and while I did find a few
Palm-related messages, I don't see any real solid info on wether anyone has
successfully done this. I don't think that Parallax would release/share the
source to their editor, which would be useful if someone were to port the editor
to PalmOS.
Does anyone have any experience in this area, or have any relevant information?
