Microchip PIC intro (was Re: IR/555 Timer Question????)

I'd second that. If you're in no hurry to learn about PICs, you may

Acutally I started with BS2s with his Basic Stamp Start kit. I'm not
crazy about the price of stamps for all projects, so I moved on to PICs
after stamps. Frankly I haven't used Stamps much since.
