GPS is not precice enough. As good as it gets is 3 meteres and that only with
the WAAGS (or without the S), wide area agumentation system, which currently
is mostly used in boat navigation (i think)

I do not remember from the original post why GPS would not work .....
Seems like it would be ideal.
