Voice Playback Chips

I'm interested in having my robot say a handful of separate
phrases at certain times, so I'm exploring using a stamp2 to
control an ISD2560 voice record/playback chip. (I've chosen the
2560 because you can get the highest fidelity --8khz sampling
rate).
Does anyone have any experience with this? I'm a stamp
newbie, so I'm looking for some detailed instructions.
Thanks!

chips. download the information .pdf files first and read the code and
information. works very well for your app if you purchase the programmer,
you can take raw isd chips with the module and program them individually.

but the ISD chip is only $10, as opposed to the $60 for the
Quadrovox. Would I be wrong in assuming I can hook the
ISD2560 directly to the Board Of Education, (requiring a separate
microphone and speaker of course), for a functional yet
inexpensive route?

has done. If you´re doing just a few projects, the QV306M4 is the way to go.
When you get to production quantities, price then becomes an issue.
