The BS2p24 Demo Board is a useful learning/prototype tool for the Parallax
BS2p24-IC module. The board provides quick connections to 1-Wire, I2C
components, parallel LCDs and a breadboard prototype space. More
specifically:
o iButton socket (F5 MicroCan)
o RJ-11 jack for Dallas "Blue Dot Receptor" sockets
o 14-pin IDC connector for HD44780-compatible LCD
(Parallax stocks separately a 2 x 16 LCD with cable - #27908)
o Standard 2.1 mm center-positive DC power jack
o DB9-F connector for serial programming
o On-board 5-volt regulator (LM2940 low-dropout)
o Solderless breadboard
o Contrast potentiometer for LCD
o Selectable 4.7 k Ohm pull-ups (1-Wire® bus) and pull-down
o (LCD) Connections for P0 – P15, Vin, Vdd, Vss and 1-Wire® sockets
o May be used with our BS2p24 "Plus Pack" documentation and parts
(not yet available due to 14-week lead time on some parts)
The documentation download includes BS2p24 code to read ROM data from 1-Wire
device, read/write to a Microchip 24LC32 I2C EEPROM and display data on a
Hitachi 44780-compatible LCD.
Once we're sold out backorders may still be placed on-line.
