Static Electricity????

My basic stamp arrived today, but before I take it
out of the protective package, need some advice...

I live in an area where if you slide out of your car
you will get a good jolt....do those of you in this
type of climate use a wrist grounding strap all the
time when handling the stamp board? TIA

    Yup. You should always wear a wrist strap when handling static-sensitive
    devices, although most folks don't. Static can be generated even when you
    don't get a shock or see a spark.
