ADXL202 revisited

The literature that comes with the ADXL202eb has a table that list
different sizes of capacitors and their Bandwidth/Noise performance. The
largest Cap They list is a .47uF that will give 10 hz bandwidth and 2.3 mg
RMS Noise.

Can someone explain Bandwidth and Noise as it pertains to this sensor?

If I use a larger cap will it enhance the filtering effect at the cost of
bandwidth?

I am only using the sensor as a tilt sensor.Speed is not overly critical,
but being able to give accurate tilt readings in a vibration prone
environment is.

Thanks

Jeff

You are right. Larger cap better filtering but less bandwidth. In an
application I am using 2uF with stable results, but I am also using
a software averaging of about 10 readings to smooth results in tilt
    sensing.

    A.C.,

I had a hunch that you might be the one with answers as I have read your
post concerning this sensor. Averaging the readings was going to be my next
plan of attack. Do you store the results as variables or write them to an
array? In my application I only need tilt readings about once per second but
I would love to have stable accurate readings.

    Thanks for your help!
