I have some questions about how to download and program the BS2P
chips.
Do they require any special hardware or software tools that are
different from the ones required for a BS2?
Is the the same serial port programming cable OK?
Is the programming instruction set the same?

different software to program it (If you are using dos). If you are using the
latest windows software (you can download it from Parallax's site), in the
preferences it allows you to change the basic stamp type from Stamp 2 to
Basic Stamp 2SX, which the Stamp 2P is I think (I am not sure on that). If
you want I can email you the latest program (it is only 800 KB big and should
take no longer than 10 minutes to download but with aol you never know :)

Everything is essentially the same as with the other BS2 modules. ·If you're
using a BS2 in a BOE now, you can pop out the BS2 and replace it with a
BS2p24 and start working. ·Be sure to download the latest version of the
compiler from Parallax and a copy of the manual too so you can take advantage
of the new BS2p features.
